Andrew Aidan, Our Fighting Warrior!
Andrew Aidan and his dog Beemer have been the pride and joy of their parents, Michelle & Roi ever since they were born. AA loved to take walks outside, play with his best friend Beemer and his Thomas the Tank Engine set of toys along with any other plane, helicopter, car, truck toy he can get his hand on. For those that have met him, they saw the soul of a mature adult in the body of a sweet, loving boy with a beautiful smile. He bravely battled an aggressive, inoperable, rare form of brain tumor called Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or AT/RT that spread to his spine as well. This type of cancer effects less than 50 children a year in this country. He has been an inspiration to us and we are sure he will be a vessel of motivation to those in similar situations. Thank you God for protecting our boy!
Thank You!

Halloween means there are are just five more days of radiation treatment. YESSS!
Hope fully this is our first and last Halloween at the hospital today. After today five more days left. Thanks again everyone for the support. We took some time off this weekend to just being together as a family and be low key and it was great. That is why we didnt post with our normal frequency. Roi

Please Read from German Baez the Marathon Participant!
I just wanted to share this with everyone. Thanks!
German Baez has left a new comment on your post "Run For A Cause! Let's Show Our Support For Team A...":
Hi all. I am the one running this marathon. First and foremost, let us all pray and hope for a full recovery for Andrew Aidan. As for my run, I was going to run it anyway but the best thing I ever did was to decide to use my run to help out this wonderful boy and his dedicated family. So I hope you can help me to raise some money for them. They deserve it. Some charities, you have no idea where the money is going. With this personal approach there is no doubt that the family will control the funds and use them for Andrew Aidan's benefit. I expect the run to be tough but there is no doubt I will be fueled by your generosity and compassion every step of the way. I have never run a marathon. So I am not sure how I will make out...walk, run, crawl...but I will finish! Thanks!

Radiation is coming to an end. Soon.
We are almost there at the end of radiation. Yesterday was a bit hectic here at the hospital but Mondays usually are. Today is much more peaceful and flowing well. Our little man is doing just great. He has really been enjoying himself.

Circus Time for AA!
14 more days to go with the Radiation Therapy...Yesterday and today went well for AA. He is now working on taking his nap but seems to want to sing some songs in his crib first. lol. Got a nice gift from the hospital yesterday, they gave us 3 tickets to go see the Big Apple Circus on Sunday Lincoln Center. We thought that was cool and are looking forward to taking him..

Alarm Clocks and Apple Juice
Radiation therapy did not happen today. It was my fault actually, I did not hear my alarm clock and when I got AA ready I let him play for a minute while I finished getting ready. Little did I know that there was a box of apple juice on his train table that he ran for immediately, by the time I got to him he had already had some juice. I had to call the hospital and they cancelled the therapy because it could be fatal if he goes into sedation with fluid or food in his system. We will be back on Monday. Sorry AA, Sorry hun..

Day 11 of 28
Day 11 of Radiation is all said and done. Last day of radiation is on Nov. 4th for a total of 28 sessions. So happy to be home with the big man. We had a pretty easy day at the hospital and got home in time for him to take a nice and long nap. He went to bed at 12:30pm and it's now 3:10pm and he is still sleeping. He should be up soon. Looking forward to picking Mommy up later! Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday and once again thank you soo much for the positive vibes. We really do appreciate them because they are working.

AA had a good day...tolerated radiation well :) My husband and I didn't have such a good day...hubby broke down in the hospital and I can't seem to stop crying since I got home...although AA is doing well (we thank God everyday for it) reality is that our son is still fighting for his life and it hurts so much to face reality. God please give my child, husband and myself the strength we need to get through this horrible experience.
