Andrew Aidan, Our Fighting Warrior!

Andrew Aidan and his dog Beemer have been the pride and joy of their parents, Michelle & Roi ever since they were born. AA loved to take walks outside, play with his best friend Beemer and his Thomas the Tank Engine set of toys along with any other plane, helicopter, car, truck toy he can get his hand on. For those that have met him, they saw the soul of a mature adult in the body of a sweet, loving boy with a beautiful smile. He bravely battled an aggressive, inoperable, rare form of brain tumor called Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or AT/RT that spread to his spine as well. This type of cancer effects less than 50 children a year in this country. He has been an inspiration to us and we are sure he will be a vessel of motivation to those in similar situations. Thank you God for protecting our boy!

Thank You!

2011 NYC Marathon Pictures & Radiation is FINISHED!!!

Hello everyone,
GREAT news! Today was our LAST day of radiation and we are SOO HAPPY! Our little trooper made it through this phase of treatment. Next up: Chemo in Dec. We will worry about that when that day comes! For now we will enjoy the time off.
In regards to the marathon, WE had a great time! AA was so happy to see all the runners running for some great causes. We would like to thank German for running with AA as his cause.
Enjoy the Pictures as they come in the next couple of postings.

  1. Thanks to the LeGar's (dog included) for coming out to support me and all the runners in this years NYC Marathon. Andrew is such a handsome little man! And the signs were great! The marathon was a great success and I look forward to running it again next year. The fundraising has gone very well. I expect to finish collecting all the funds before Friday. I was amazed by all the support I received for this cause. What is most important is that Andrew recovers from this battle. Money will not do this...but hopes and prayers and believing can! So let's keep thinking of AA and let's keep pulling for him.
